Marisa(Reese) Soster
With over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of schools and subject, Mrs. Soster is a valuable member of the Specialist High Skills Major Team. She always puts forth her best effort to support any student as they navigate what works best for them to be successful along their unique path to graduation. Mrs. Soster is available to support any questions or concerns about the Specialist High Skills Major Programs that are offered in these four sectors: Auto Repair and Restoration, Construction, Health & Wellness, and Hospitality & Tourism.
Co-op Teacher
Amy Labelle
As a COOP teacher with a background in Human Resource Management and Employment counselling, Mrs. Labelle is focused on getting you the skills you need for success in any workplace. Mrs. Labelle supports the SHSM program by helping students find COOP placements in their SHSM field as well helping to organize and manage sector specific training and certifications.

Denise Parry
With Ms. Parry's vast experience working 23 years with the GEDSB, 5 which have been at Tollgate, she knows the ins and outs of the administrative system. Her organizational systems and attention to detail ensure nothing is missed and students are signed up for the courses and certifications they require to graduate. She enjoys being around students and watching how they progress through their teen years and is always very happy to spend her time assisting Tollgate staff.
Transportation and Small Engines teacher
Shandon Jarvis
Mr. Jarvis is our Small Engines SHSM Dual Credit Teacher. With over 25 years of industry experience as a licensed mechanic he prides himself in bringing real world experiences to his students to prepare them for their next step after high school.

Jon Glasser
As an educator and a licensed professional in the construction industry with more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Glasser strives to give students of all levels a high-level education in a safe and inclusive environment. He takes pride in helping students grow into mature young adults with a clearer picture of the career path they wish to choose.
Hairstyling & Aesthetics Teacher
Karen Haggarty
Ms. Haggarty has been a licensed hairstylist since 1989 and has been a teacher in the trade for 17 years. She has enjoyed being a stylist, working with the public and making people feel great, and contributing to their self-confidence.
When she realized she could teach at a secondary level it seemed like a natural progression based on her years of experience working with apprentices in a salon setting. Her ability and desire to make connections with students and being a part of their educational success and career choices is why she became a teacher.
